Under the branch of the Chaenomeles japonica, just below a swelling bud, another delicate droplet clings to the stem. It shimmers softly, reflecting the darkening sky and the restless dance of leaves in the rising wind. Suspended in perfect stillness, it seems to hesitate, as if aware of the approaching storm. The air is thick with moisture, carrying the distant scent of rain, and soon, the droplet will surrender to gravity, merging with the first scattered raindrops before the skies unleash their full fury.
